Does anyone have a summary of the proposed tax plan?

I keep hearing conflicting reports, but I would like to see a simple run-down of exactly what this plan is proposing as I get ready to head into the holiday season with right-wing relatives who think that Trump is a gift from god. Thanks in advance.

my dh is an accountant, understands numbers, etc. He said this plan will be good for us. We're boomers, he's going to retire before the end of the year, will be living on pensions/401k/Social Security. We don't itemize.

As for specifics, I don't know. I do know that you can't trust either side to fully tell the truth. The WaPo gave Chuck Schumer four Pinocchios for what he said.
