Bernie wants to run in 2020 under the Dem ticket again w/ EW as a running mate. Tom Perez is saying NO to Independents pretending to be democrats so... EW and Brazille for different reasons are jumping on the DNC

(6,262 posts)Bernie is not now nor has ever been a Democrat. Nor will he be if he pulls off a nomination next time.
I do know that EW sympathized with his issues, but SHE is a Democrat. I would much rather that she be the head of a possible ticket.
Hillary's campaign pulled a smart power play and did reach the popular vote win. Plus Bernie complained loudly, but it looked to me that he asked for much more from the DNC than he gave in return via funds or support for others.
Bernie (IMO) would have been swamped even by Trump by opposition ads magnifying his two favorite words - "Socialist" and "Revolution."
We must be more unified next election. We must.

(10,828 posts)I've been trying to get my head around Liz Warren's comments, thinking she might have her eye on 2020 and wanting to shore up the Left Flank. Which means, of course, that Warren is a politician, something Hillary Clinton ironically was never forgiven for. Still, Warren's comments were not helpful to the party or the upcoming state races. I was disappointed by her involvement and public statements.
Frankly, if she and Bernie Sanders are using this kerfuffle to twist Perez's arms, I like it even less.
Guess we'll have to wait and see. If Warren decides to run, she should run on her own for the top of the ticket.
