The GOP Tax Plan Tells Us Everything About Who Matters In American Democracy

Your boss, not you.

"SNIP.......

The United States is the richest country in the history of the world. Last year, the genius and muscle of the American people generated more than $18.6 trillion in wealth. This year, our brains and brawn will combine to create well over $19 trillion. Despite all the debt theatrics of the Republican Party during the Obama presidency, we owe just $6.2 trillion to other countries — less than four months of our collective labors at their present value.

BY SIMON JOHNSON | NOVEMBER 1, 2017

Under these circumstances, the question of what the American government can afford is functionally meaningless. If any nation has ever been able to afford quality housing, education, health care, parks, museums — anything — the United States can.

And we don’t need to tax anyone, rich or poor, in order to afford these fine things. The wealth — the fruits of our labor — already exists. Taxes are a way of managing the bookkeeping system, of setting national priorities for the distribution of wealth created by good ideas and hard work.

That’s key: Our country’s wealth is created by everybody. It’s not created by rich people. Rich people are what happen when the bookkeeping units we use to keep track of that wealth — the dollars — get stuck on particular individuals. Sometimes these people fall into the world possessing such accounting anomalies in the form of inheritances. Sometimes they siphon them from other people through the daily operations of commerce. Sometimes Washington decides to hand them more.

WE ARE NOT THOSE PEOPLE. "AMERICAN DEMOCRACY" IS NOT THOSE PEOPLE.

I don't care whose name is under that dishonest, hostile headline.

We are the party of American democracy. We are the descendants of the founders of our constitution, the true party of Lincoln and every other great president and every progressive legislature of the 20th and 21st centuries. We are the party of the New Deal, Fair Deal, Great Society, and Obama's achievements. We elected Barack Obama and chose Hillary Clinton to succeed him.

You might benefit tremendously by revisiting Hillary's debates and listening to what she intended to accomplish for America, and what we still will. Our advances were never the product of those who trash us but of those who are us.

sleazy technique of presenting a hit-job headline to be seen by many has become commonplace corrupt journalism/propaganda. Those pretending to integrity then walk back the message to something closer to honest journalism in the article itself. But few actually open and read.

The New York Times attacked our candidate this way every single day, but also our party, during the election period. And most other corporate-owned MSM did the same to varying degrees. And even though that's over, the screws are if anything being turned harder on dirty journals to attack as the right fights for survival by projecting their massive corruption and betrayal onto us.

Btw, remember THIS Associated Press's blanketing millions of screens and print media across the entire nation with a 100% lying, lengthy headline message about Hillary, State Department and Foundation Donors? The Associated Press. Facebook, Twitter, almost every electronic and print medium carried this thing.

Inside, the article tried to explain away the ridiculous numbers, but couldn't. And even though the AP was immediately criticized by many, it left the headline and article up for nearly 2 weeks, and many millions of Americans saw no more than the bald insinuation of corruption.

This is how deeply our most read and watched media are infiltrated and corrupted.

4. I think you misread. It is implying that the rich are being favoured. And that

that is a bad thing. Reread the headline from a Democratic point of view. It is a criticism of favouring the rich.

WE ARE NOT CORRUPT.

Because Democratic Party exists, this headline cannot be true. We are great!

Lying liars and those who help them deceive are not.

Post are right wing and they both posted this article. Think of it like a knell to those who support the right on who really is favoured in the tax cuts and it is not the worker. Just because an article does not have all the Democratic bells and whistles does not mean it is pro right wing. We need to appeal to people who are workers and don't understand the Democratic bubble words. The language here is neutral. The message is Democratic.
