Why aren't The Paradise Papers a major story?

Is it not sexy enough? Is the corruption at the top level of government and among the financial elite just taken for granted?

There is a paucity of coverage on this.

4. The mass shooting should not be the only news story. This shooting has taken place in a country that

has been taken over by Russian Billionaire criminal oligarchs. The blood lust of the NRA and the right wing pricks who enable it are directly responsible. So there IS a connection. Even Facebook and Twitter has been supported by direct Russian investment. More people will die because of these criminals.

Of course I agree it should be a big story, but not surprised it isn't.

12. The news is very general at the moment. Once it becomes specific it will grow in importance.

It will probably take a little time for the media to understand the specifics and what the ramifications could be.

Having a story that says bigwig x did y with z and it all is is blatantly illegal, the news will move up the page.

(And it has to be more exciting that he just moved his finances offshore to save on taxes. That's already known and expected so isn't really news. )

This isn't a right vs. left issue, it's a top 1% vs everyone else issue and they still have a ton of power.

It will cover entities on the right and the left of the political spectrum.
