Email from Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee. Don't know what to make of it.

This is just unreal –

We have a big, BIG problem on our hands.

All day long, Democratic field offices have reported an unbelievable surge of volunteers pouring in for the last Get Out the Vote door-knocking shifts before Election Day. Some key races are reporting three or four times more people than they expected!

Now, organizers in those same offices expect even MORE volunteers tomorrow – but all the canvassing supplies that were supposed to last through Election Day have been used up!

We urgently need to help local Democrats fill last-minute needs like these. If we don’t meet our goal, then THOUSANDS of volunteers could show up to empty offices!

Requests like these are coming fast and furious, and there's simply no room left in the budget. Can you chip in $10 right now to support all our efforts for Democratic candidates? All gifts will still be TRIPLE-MATCHED until midnight tonight >>

Isn't kind of too late?

They should explain this in everyday language not campaign speak.

As a veteran of campaigns in five states. I can translate.

3. Why would take a fundraising letter as a source of relevant information on Party status?

Even with my connections, I get the same junk emails you do; they go right in the spam folder.

I would triple-match if I could afford it, but I'd definitely want my name kept quiet. I get enough requests for donations as it is!
