Interesting read-

Page did not know his emails were already in possession of Congress, until Adam Schiff presented him with email Page sent to Trump campaign staffers after his Russian meeting. Page apparently thought he could continue denying/downplaying events and that he had some leverage by withholding his email and other docs subpoenaed by Congress

Abramson points out importance of Page confirming Hope Hicks' involvement since Page notified her before and after his Russian meeting, she is direct conduit with Trump and she lied publicly about any Trump campaign contacts with Russia.

Since she was in the loop, this is another blow to Trump's credibility in claiming being out of loop and also significant that this came out now, since she is set to be interviewed by Mueller in next couple of weeks.

He thinks he has protected and ingratiated himself with Trump & Co and Russians by trying to flood his testimony with diversionary anti-Clinton conspiracy theories, as he has done in most of his TV interviews.
