'Good guys with guns' rhetoric doesn't save lives, it sells guns

... Trump ought to get paid for the advertising he gave the gun industry this week.

He didn't merely dismiss questions about gun control ... He joined the NRA chorus in lauding a rifle-toting bystander ... as a role model and reason why we shouldn't have more gun laws ...

... there’s no evidence that the .. gunman would have killed "hundreds more," as Trump claimed, if he hadn't been wounded by the .. neighbor. What we know is that the civilian intervention helped to halt the criminal’s escape. That's .. commendable, but .. far short of preventing a .. tragedy ...

... mass shootings are great for business. Stocks for gun manufacturers rose after last month’s Las Vegas massacre ...

Part of this is hoarding by people under the .. impression that the NRA-controlled Congress might .. restrict the sale of military-class weapons to civilians ...

is about as true as trickle down economics.

Hasn't worked, doesn't work and never will work, but those who own the repub politicians keep pushing this nonsense anyway, and the gullibles eat it up.
