Russia's ambassador was present at several Trump campaign events. No other ambassador was present at any one else's campaign events. Trump met him after speeches. It was set up by the campaign and no one knew he was there except the campaign people (and ofcourse, FBI and CIA who were watching), until people started going back and checking pics and videos from the events to find out that he was there. The big question was why was the only ambassador invited to Trump's events. There has to be some kind of secret back rubbing between the Russians and Trump. And Trump was praising Russia and poo pooing NATO and the western alliance at any chance he got ("Nato is not paying its dues" was his mantra--doing Russia's bidding to weaken NATO while at the same time appearing as a fiscally responsible leader to his gullible supporters).
And who can forget the closed door (except to Russia's media) meeting with Russia's foreign minster and Russia's ambassador (same guy that was invited to his events during the campaign) at the White House the day after he fired FBI director Comey to obstruct the investigation into Russia's meddling in the election.
It is clear that Trump and his people were coordinating with Russia, and at the end were just blatant about it.
