Many Ron Paul supporters are contemptible.

I never in my life saw hatred toward OWS on any level like what I saw last night on the OWS feeds. Beyond the pale. They were bashing OWSers for being white suburban yuppies*, etc, etc. Just checked twitter for proof and you can see Ron Paul supporters piling on OWS and then there's this bullshit DP posting talking total smack about OWS (that link is a little over a month old but you can get the idea what sort of crap I saw last night).

I don't care what you like about Ron Paul or what you hate about him, but when you attack OWS, that's it.

*never do I see a movement more diverse than the OWS movement, the Ron Paul, the Teabagger movements, they're all white people movements for the most part.

VIVE OWS!

They likely got their marching orders to hate on OWS protesters from the corporate press because the owners of the presses are the ones OWS is attacking.

We are in a time with a great deal of public perception manipulation. There is a lot to disagree with in Paul's policies, but deception is deception.

Whereas the link I provide has a lot of people shitting on OWS to the point of paternalist mockery.

Fact is last night OWS was sending a very strong anti-capitalist message and the Ron Paul supporters hated it, which is perfectly predictable, btw.

This was not on any mass media deception, this was on an independent live stream.

Wrap detestable policy up with a sweet sounding soundbite of a lie. He counts on low-information voters to trust the sugar coating before swallowing the bitter pill whole.

are asshole Republican types. I often wonder if there is a group of 10 people paid by some think tank to comment on all local and larger newspapers. Even in our local paper, the hatred and racism in comments is like a sewer. This existed before Paul was in the running, --ever since the paper went on line and allowed comments.

You have to listen to what people say at this point in time, not what paid "supporters" say.

I don't have a problem with you attacking anybody for what they say (In Paul's case anti-choice, wants to cut positive programs, etc) but I have a problem with people buying into the perception games... They are run by the highest bidder, and that highest bidder is always going to be the 1%.

Sorry, but I don't buy the PSYOPS argument. Ron Paul could shut it down easily, but he refuses to do so, he even says it doesn't matter who his supporters are, when questioned about the white supremacists who support him.

Though I disagree with Ron Paul on a number of issues,
his position on OWS is not one of them.

Paul sympathizes with OWS, even if he's not out there marching with them.

His supporters, in contrast, are all over the map--with widely varying political views. Some support OWS, some oppose it.

Let's not confuse Ron Paul's views with those of his most extremist supporters.

Falsely implying that Paul is a pro-Corporate, pro-Wall Street candidate, pro-Bank candidate.

That's what the 1% want you to believe.

It was probably shills of the 1% that were out there opposing OWS to begin with,
pretending to be Paul supporters.

I haven't spent almost half of my life debating Libertarian Lassie-faire idiots without understanding just what their ideology means in the long run.

Yes, he'll "get rid of the fed" but he'll replace it with bank gold barons. Yes he'll get rid of corporate loopholes, but he'll deregulate the hell out of all industry. Yes he'll hurt Wall Street, but he'll replace it with his own feudal mechanisms.
