(28,270 posts)Shouldn't he be the one taking a lie detector test?
The machine would probably blow up.

(6,377 posts)He wants to strap them in, and force them to relive these awful experiences. He knows they wont want to, and then he can say well, they must be lying!

(3,282 posts)And people wonder why women don't come forward against powerful men.
It's because of shit like this! Threats of legal action! Threats of examining their sex life! Threats of ruining their lives! And especially women who have lived for years with abuse delivered to them when they were only children. And men in the GOP are standing up FOR A CHILD MOLESTER?
Men! Dudes! Guys! Collectively can we get our shit together and knock this shit off?

(90,335 posts)... girl who accused him of sexual advances?
This is a weird position for him, I understand the sexual assault is horrible but the fact that he used to date teenage girls at 32 makes the sexual assault allegations more probable IMHO

(100,065 posts)I mean this is completely unreal. They had no problem when it was Harvey Weinstein or Kevin Spacey.

(25,242 posts)I wonder if this was pushed - what Moore's response would be to him taking the test instead of the women?
A good case can be made for him to take the test - to clear his name and reputation. If he balks at taking the test - wouldn't that be a tell?

(4,522 posts)So Mr Moore - that's a great idea. I mean if you have nothing to hide....
Of course - you would be willing to take one right? Just to clear your good name?

(58,647 posts)Had MTP on in background. Chuck brought that up as a suggestion. "If you want the women to take a polygraph, should Judge Moore take one?"
The guy kind of sputtered and waffled, of course, but basically said, "Well they made the accusations so they should be tested."
Apologies to my Southern Brethren but I think if I hear one more person with that Southern Good Ole Boy drawl defending heinous actions I will absolutely

(25,242 posts)when Todd suggested Moore take the polygraph test. They really don't know how to respond to that and therefore more of MSM needs to keep on suggesting Moore take the lie detector test. What really disturbed me about Todd's interview of this guy is that this guy said that the women that accused Trump of harrassment/attacks have been proven they were lying.
Todd didn't even acknowledge that comment - he just let the guy get away with that lie.

(7,503 posts)Common sense to just do one polygraph test. Maybe on the one whose story doesn't match. Just sayin.

(65,001 posts)And one cannot be coerced into taking one. But, this isn't court, aside from court of public opinion. And Moore better watch what he's asking for. If anyone of those women does it, and passes, he's a goner.

Jack Miller @politicalmiller
One man accused Kevin Spacey of assault and the world took it as fact.
Four women, with multiple corroborating sources, just accused Roy Moore of sexual assault.
Don't you dare start a sentence with "if it's proven true." Trust women. End of story.

(95 posts)Simultaneously, we still operate by the principle that that you are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. I don't think it's ever in the public's interest to simply believe an accuser at their word, which would create a terrible societal condition in which an accused is presumed guilty first. Simultaneously, character assassination of the accuser has to be stopped as well. We're creating an environment in which it is impossible to impartially gauge criminal accusations.

If anyone is doing the character assassination it would be Moore, his brother, Bannon, Hannity, and others.
