ObamaCare becomes political weapon for Democrats

ObamaCare is emerging as a top issue for Democrats as they seek to gain control of Congress in next year's midterm elections.

Just a year after worries about ObamaCare premiums were seen as a contributing factor in Hillary Clinton's loss, voter concerns about GOP attacks on the health-care law seem to be bolstering Democratic candidates.

Health care was by far the number one issue in Virginia, where Democrats won races up and down the ballot on Tuesday night with a surprisingly strong showing. Exit polls showed that 39 percent of voters ranked health care as their top issue, with 77 percent of those voters backing Democrat Ralph Northam for governor.

Meanwhile, in Maine, voters overwhelmingly supported a ballot initiative to expand Medicaid under ObamaCare, suggesting strong support for increasing health care access to the poor and lower middle class.

That is the great accomplishment of the Obama administration. The only way that the Republicans could have saved themselves from a catastrophe in 2018, was to construct a health care plan that actually helped people. They couldn't do that because their base wouldn't let them. This is what happens when you have a base that is spoon fed propaganda.

Because of people like Rush Limbuagh, Sean Hannity Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones, who only care about making money by appealing to the worst in people, the Republican Party is going to disintegrate. The leaders of the party could have stood up to them, but it's too late now.

should be the Dem Party message during the midterms. Also, they should never refer to it as Obamacare.

"My opponent worked hard to take healthcare away from you. I will work even harder to make sure you have the healthcare you need."

That needs to be repeated at every opportunity by every Democratic candidate in 2018.
