Seeing Trump In Vietnam Praising Them As A "Miracle" Is Just So Insulting.

Had just arrived in "Nam" 50 years ago Nov. 6, 1967. . Would have never thought I would see such a coward and draft dodger as president. It is so insulting and disgusting to witness this aberration.

The idea that a man like Trump compliments them might be the worst sort of insult for the former Vietcong that fought and died to ensure men like him would never be welcome there.

Insulting.

My release date was May 1968. So I did not serve in Vietnam. I can only imagine how insulted Vietnam Veterans are by trump. From the way he has treated the military, to his comments about veterans like Senator McCain and especially by his comment below. The man is a disgrace. Voters need to come out in record numbers next year so Dems can regain control of the Senate or House or both and put a hard check on trump and the rest of the republicans insanity.

From Think Progress:

Thirty years after Trump avoided the draft he told the Howard Stern show that his own “personal” Vietnam had been his sex life in 1980s New York, and how he was “lucky” not to contract an STI. “I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world,” he said. “It is a dangerous world out there. It’s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam-era. It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.”
