Open Letter to Roy Moore

Well, Roy, it looks like you’re fucked. Sure you might still win in December – but it’s going to cost your party, big time.

You’re probably scratching your head right now, wondering why there are Republicans calling for you to withdraw from the race. After all, your party has rarely hesitated to elect men who lie, cheat, steal, and/or have been accused of sexual relations with under-age girls – just look at the morally bankrupt idiot they elected to the White House!

But here’s the problem, Roy – politics, like comedy, is all about t-t-t-timing. And unfortunately for you, an intervening event – namely the results of last Tuesday’s elections – has elevated you to the position of poster boy for everything the GOP is now feigning to abhor.

Fear not – the Republicans have not suddenly lost their senses. Rest assured they’re still the same bigoted, racist, misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic, faux-Christian hypocrites they’ve always been – nor have they suddenly experienced a moral epiphany that has led them to denounce people like you. They still love you, Roy – it’s just a love whose name cannot be spoken in today's political climate. Your party members have not (and never will) abandon their admiration for law-breakers with a penchant for things like molesting children – it’s just politically expedient to pretend otherwise right now. And sadly for you, this pretense of outrage had to be launched within weeks of your otherwise “shoe-in” election.

The problem here is that the GOP has finally woken to the fact that there is a backlash from voters who chose to elect the trans-gendered, the blacks, the gays, the immigrants, etc., rather than Trump-humping idiots who think Americans are more interested in who uses which public bathroom than who represents their best interests on issues like tax-cuts for the wealthy, access to affordable healthcare and education, and protection of the environment.

The truth is that with a Republican pResident under investigation for, at the very least, obstruction of justice – along with his family members, appointees, and advisors being investigated for colluding with our enemies, tax evasion, money laundering, and conspiracy against the United States – it just isn’t politically viable for the GOP to openly support yet another politician who represents everything voters are determined to rid their country of.

Had Trumpism triumphed on November 7th, there’s no doubt that the same party members who are now denouncing you would be embracing you without hesitation – just as they have traditionally embraced the most vile, disgusting, lying criminals who run for office with an (R) behind their names. But that was then, and this is now – and the “now” you find yourself in is a place where backing a low-life pedophile such as yourself will simply cement the image of the GOP as the party that champions the corrupt, the morally bankrupt, the sleaziest of those who live among us.

Too bad – so sad. Wrong place, wrong time, Roy. But it’s not like there isn’t a silver lining in all of this. If you win a senate seat, you will be proof positive that Republicans will continue to elect low-life, immoral, teenage-girl-diddling, faux-Christian hypocrites. And if you lose, that’s a victory for the Democrats.

If elected, you will be just another albatross around the neck of your party. If you lose, it will be just another example of how people like you are being outted and ousted by voters determined to rid our country of sleazy politicians whose morals are simply non-existent.

In other words, either way, the Democrats win.

Thank you for your service - as foolishly unintended as that service is proving to be. We Democrats couldn’t be happier.

is a cult without shame. They believe only Trump tells the truth and Democrats are their mortal enemies. Psycho cases with the right to vote. Maybe Nietzsche was onto something when he said democracy was a flawed concept. Pox News compromised the concept of a well informed electorate. A state full of rubes can elect an immoral imbecilic Senator with the power to nullify the will of the vast majority. And we have an electoral college. What could possibly go wrong, a Senator who exposes himself in a schoolyard?
And actors are held to a higher standard than Republican politicians. If this trend continues, foreign soil could look more inviting.

However, I'm almost sensing that it may evolve somewhat into a Christian vs 'christian' tension.

I'm sorry, but I can't keep shut up any longer regarding how the RR has ruined, and, at times perverted, the true message of 'The Way'.

It’s just BEYOND offensive to me. Likening that PERVERT Roy Moore to St. Joseph, bringing the Holy Family into it, trying to hide behind the Blessed Virgin’s skirts to justify this predatory pedophilia? SHIT! It’s utter blasphemy and apostasy! It’s SACRILEGE! From the same vermin who insist that they’re more godly than the rest of us.

The Christmas season is coming. There’ll be lots of little Nativity scenes all over the place, conveniently located for these assholes to shit upon.

I CANNOT believe it’s come to this - that some of these jerks have the brazen gall to elevate a horny wannabe diddler to the level of the Holy Family! As far as I can see, it’s not The Bible they’re thumping. It’s a buy-bull.
