Hi, I would like to have a rash, open discussion with you. It hasn't even been a month since your annual conference in Washington, DC called "The Values Voters Summit". And if you recall what you said during that time, you said such hateful things as the left is becoming an American Taliban. You also repeatedly made it clear that you worship god and not government. You have also said that "the left" is "criminalizing masculinity". You also denounced "third way feminism", whatever that is. Your boy Phil Robertson of the Duck Dynasty franchise even quoted the Bible and interpreted it as we should mind their business.

Well now in a critical election in Alabama, while you condemn the left's sexual abuse, you praise it when one of your own does it. At your summit in DC, your boy Roy Moore recited America The Beautiful and talked about acts of treason. Moore, in 2004, stopped a Ten Commandments monument from being removed in front of his court house. Did you know that one of those commandments is "Thou shalt not commit adultery"?

And that's something that the Christian right does and does well - you commit adultery. And not only do you commit adultery well, you actively defend those who commit it. And you think your marriage is better than any couple who doesn't fit the definition of male and female. Despite you're probably on your 4th and most likely 5th spouses. Why? Because your base is mostly populated by older white males and they're the ones who wield the most power in your church. And you are doing a damn fine job of defending the adultery and perverse sex acts committed by your boy Roy Moore. Is this what Jesus would want? I think he would be utterly embarrassed if he were to come back and see what you are doing in his name.

You know what? Let's go back to that comment on "criminalizing masculinity". What does that even mean? What does being a man mean to you? Does that mean that you get to treat women, minorities, LGBT and anyone else who isn't like you like absolute shit? If so then that actually should be criminal. Regardless of the type of the abuse involved, or who commits the abuse, the abuse lingers. It stays with the victim long after the act has been committed. And more often than not, it goes unreported because of bullshit like this.

So this brings up Roy Moore. He's your boy. He is the face of the Christian right. He's everything soulless and wrong with this country personified in one person. He's all the hate of the Christian right. He's all the racism, the bigotry, the sexism, the homophobia, the misogyny, the xenophobia. And now you can add being a pedophile to the mix. You can argue all the different technicalities of this heinous act all you want. But the bottom line? In your words, Roy Moore committed sin.

And not only did Moore sin, oh boy - he committed one of the most heinous sins known to man. He courted underage girls against their will. Your base is actively defending this man. Let's extrapolate how bad this is for a minute. In the month since your Values Voters Summit in DC, you were positively giddy over Harvey Weinstein's predatory behavior. You were also thrilled at the take down of Kevin Spacey and most recently George Takei. And you also still continue to peddle the insane theory that John Podesta ran a child sex slave ring in the basement of a Washington, DC pizza parlor even though this theory has been proven to be 100% Grade A bullshit.

Here's the thing - you can do the right thing and do what Jesus would do, and denounce Roy Moore. But as long as you don't do this, he's your problem. And you own him and all the ugliness he stands for. He will forever be known as the face of the Values Voters. So it's either one of two things - you can own Roy Moore and everything he stands for. Or you can do the right thing. I think the choice should be easy.
