She was the columnist who introduced "The Donald Trumps" to New York City as a dazzlingly rich couple. She kept his name in the paper until Trump took control of that himself.

Later, she and rival social columnist, Cindy Adams, divided Donald and Ivana Trump between them during the divorce.

She created a monster.
