A new Fox News poll in Alabama shows former President Obama is more popular in Alabama than Donald Trump.

The poll shows Obama with a 52% favorability rating in the state, compared to Trump’s 49%.

1. Dont underestimate Obamas appeal

I don’t agree with everything Obama did in office (the Libya action was a big mistake, and he was often too nice with the GOP in his first term especially), but in terms of his personal appeal, he’s one of the most distinguished figures American politics has produced. When people aren’t blinded by non-stop conservative anti-Obama’s propaganda, that becomes evident.

I predicted five years ago that by 2030, many conservatives would look at Obama the way many liberals now look at the first Bush Presidency - that is, not as someone they love, but as someone they don’t especially hate and could probably do a lot worse with than he.
