Why This House Tax Scheme Is For IDIOTS

The House tax bill is an all-out attack on the future prosperity of America, not that any of the major news organizations are telling you that in plain English. Lost in the dense bureaucratic language of modern news reports is the simple fact that the House bill takes from striving students so that the already rich and major corporations can have more.

This bill is a long-term disaster in terms of what economists call opportunity costs. That term refers to a benefit that a person could have received, but gave up, to take another course of action. This tax bill gives up the future wealth from investing in brainpower in favor of permanent tax cuts for the already rich and corporations.

This tax bill should be called the Intellectual Destruction Initiative Outrageous Tax Savings Act, a.k.a. the IDIOTS Tax Act of 2017.

Are we idiots?

What we need is more investment in education and, especially, education of the most serious and scholarly students. I have a name for what we need—the Intellectual Quality General Education National Investment University Scholarship Act or IQ GENIUS Act.

What will we tell our Congress, if anything, about this tax bill and the one being written in the Senate? Hopefully, it’s that we are not idiots and we want to develop more genius minds.

1. It is a tax SCAM, not scheme.

That is what the Resistance is calling it anyway. On a nationwide call last Wed from MoveOn.org, Bernie, Indivisible and other grass roots organizers there is a plan and the key word I learned from the call was DELAY!
The Senate goes on a Thanksgiving Recess so we need to organize and go to their homes and local offices, organize town halls, etc. and nail them. When they return from Recess a "Week of Action" starts (Nov 29 - Dec 2). This is when we must come out in numbers and storm the Bastille. Inundate their local and DC offices non stop with phone calls, petitions and letters. We have to commit time, energy and patriotism to defeat these greedy, hypocritical sociopaths who have sold our country for money while people will go bankrupt and die due to their selfish action. RESIST! Peace. [phone]...the Senate.

2. And don't delude yourselves that Democrats in the future will be able to fix this

national financial atrocity.

A supermajority of Democrats would be needed in the Senate and a Democrat in the White House to fully enact a repeal. Ain't gonna happen.

And for those of you with short memories: Republican obstruction in both houses of Congress if you don't have a supermajority. (Oh, the R's SAID that it was because of Obama; it wasn't. It was because of Democrats, period.)

And even if you have D's in place, the R's will go around screaming that D's are trying to RAISE TAXES ON EVERYONE.

This intentionally mislabeled "tax reform" can't be enacted now.
