They are dicey affairs to begin with, anyway. The few I know of in my outfit, the ones that stayed together were the ones where one of the partners left so as not to risk a mess. The ones that ended up as messy break-ups/divorces were the ones where both parties stayed on in their jobs, and that's all but one gay couple who has been rock solid ever since they became a couple.

I think I'd be terrified at this point to even get involved in one, especially with someone of lower ranking who could accuse me of everything under the sun if things go sour. I was fortunate to marry a social worker who didn't even live and work on the same continent as I did.
