I Believe Russia Is Pushing Sex Scandals to Distract the Press

And it is working. The closer Mueller gets to indicting the big players, the more Russia Mob/KGB blackmail data will be leaked to the press, the more victims will be pressured to make statements, the more cum stained dresses we Americans will be forced to examine as we try to wade through the cesspool of slur and scandal in order to find the real threat to our democracy.

If the press gave a rat's ass about sexism, they would not have devoted pages of coverage to Hillary Clinton's cleavage. The press does not love women. The press loves SEX.

Shame on us for allowing ourselves to be distracted. Are a bunch of Russian bloggers posing as Americans smarter than we are? Are they sitting around a desk somewhere saying "Those fat lazy Americans are so easy to fool. All we have to do is distract them with sex"?

Left on its own, the American press will latch onto one or two juicy sex scandals. Someone with a tin ear when it comes to what entertains Americans is throwing these stories out so fast that people are soon going to become bored. The American mainstream media would never make this mistake. Who has an enormous army of bloggers pretending to be Americans? Russia.

that the Russians were behind Harvey Weinstein being outed for being a such a swine. Kevin Spacey either. Louis CK either. Charlie Rose either. Andy Dick either. Ben Affleck either. Dustin Hoffman either. Charlie Sheen either. Brett Ratner either. Jeffrey Tambour either. Jeremy Piven either. Matthew Wiener either. Tom Sizemore either. Roman Polanski either.

As it turns out, many men in positions of power and authority have long been taking advantage of women within their sphere of influence. Exploiting, harassing and assaulting these women. And now that there's finally been a seismic shift to hold those men accountable, we are supposed to start blaming the underhanded Russians for pushing sex scandals?

Sorry, but this issue extends well beyond a couple of spurious claims.

I think they see an opportunity and know how to pervert it to their own ends when they have one.

This issue extends WAY beyond these spurious claims and we're seeing just the tip of the tsunami. My fear is for the exploitable who can be convinced they should accuse and the innocent who become victims of those accusations. I do think people will be unfairly swept up in this.

I'm a victim of sexual harassment and assault and worry about that a lot. False accusations will make it harder for real victims to be sincerely heard. I'm furious with the second woman to accuse Franken (fair photo). My bullshit meter is clanging even more loudly with her than it did with Tweeden.

The story was “Trump kids avoid prosecution by bribing DA.”

The Weinstein part was just extra evidence that the DA was being bribed by rich psychopaths, but it was the “sex” part that made an impression with the TV media.

#MeToo I think was an afterthought. Fortunate, but I’m too cynical to think whoever started that snowball could possibly have had good intentions for women.

combined with O'Reilly's low history of sexual harassment lawsuit settlements scared the shit out of the right wing media primarily Fox News and they hired a damage control scumbag squad to go after anyone they can who is not associated with them, Trump or the GOP. I expect to see a few people coming forward every single day until Alabama's special election.

And as all this goes on, nobody in the media will mention why Trump has not resigned yet for doing more than everyone else combined.

The Russians/Republicans know that Republican voters don't care what Republican politicians do. So Trump gets elected and Roy Moore wins the primary election. And Republicans are fine with both of them.

And the Russians/Republicans know that Democrats insist their candidates be pure as the wind driven snow and will immediately discard any Democrat who is merely accused of wrongdoing.

I mean, who'd have thought that tRumputin, many in his cabinet of ghouls and family members would turn tReasonous and collude with the ruskies, or that most in the GOP were riding shotgun and cape for him? The GOP is still going to be voter-suppressing. The ruskies are still meddling and will continue meddling, and who knows what they'll come up with next for an encore? Voting machines are outdated, and can be hacked easily. There's that gerrymandering ruling from the the Supreme Court coming that will give Wisconsin and other states to thuglicans gerrymandering is once again reinstated. Very few positives have Dem voters way since November 2016, and as we know, those big 2018 mid-terms are barreling down upon us like a freight train.

Malcolm Nance Knew about the cyber-war the ruskies were launching against the USA. So did most of our Intel agencies.

No, but if they can help and muddy the waters, keep voters off-balance, confused and Democrats fighting, they've done their job. They were doing that before all of these seemingly coordinated allegations of sexual misconduct started coming to the forefront.

As others have said, I put nothing past the ruskies and putin, Roger Stone, Bannon, the GOP and of course against tReasonous, putin-loving tRump.

Perhaps the media can be preoccupied, to some degree, with the deluge of accusations. But to suggest we cannot deal with multiple issues simultaneously is to give very little credit to the average person.

My gosh, what about your child's poor academic performance at school, that promotion you're trying to get at work, mom's worsening dementia that's going to land her in a nursing home and your car's transmission acting up. You can work at all of those things without neglecting the other three.

Same goes for processing rampant sexual harassment/assault and keeping an eye on Dolt 45's agenda.

If Democrats support all of these accusations it could sink the party.
It's easy to get one or two women to accuse a man of low level annoyance sexism and call it harassment.
I'm not saying this shouldn't be exposed but it shouldn't if its instigated for political reasons.
It's a way to get us to destroy our own because of our sensitivity to the issue.

I lived through the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. We're seeing the same damn thing, only on steroids. Granted, I wouldn't put it past them to seek additional help from the Russians. Mueller's noose is tightening, and their grip on power in the Senate is slipping. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and those treasonous ratfuckers are not above seeking foreign help to stay in power.
