Thoughts on a VFW urinal. Pic. (Spoiler: "Hanoi Jane")

1) Yea, this is 2017 & that's a "Hanoi Jane urinal target." Long lasting, non-erasable.

2) Yea, that's ice in it. Something to do with military hygiene. Or smell containment. Dudes can be finicky.

3) VFW of the "Hanoi Jane" era grudge, like "Greatest Generation" grudged on Hanoi Jane Era.

Nice to know that our veterans stand ready to defend us against an 80-year-old actress. One can only hope they're up to the challenge.

have earned the right to continue pissing on her image if they want to.

Also, they've done their service. I don't know why you would expect them to protect you from anything.

that statues of/monuments to her should be erected in every town and city that has a statue/monument to some civil war traitor.

letting others be.

I don't use any of the "Trash" or "Ignore" features, just skip on by things without leaving a trace.

I documented a facet of wingnut behavior that is out there - a recurring DU theme, "How to explain wingnuttiness in veterans & other groups against their self-interest" - and the posters discussed. Since you didn't give a clue to what your objection(s) is/are, here's my over-thinking:

1) The grossness of urinals?!1
2) Repulsion against wingnut hatred of anything Left?!1
3) Distaste for entertaining ugly topics?!1

all the rich boys) evade going to war...leaving the poor and middle class to fight any war, and that doesn't bother them? My Dad disliked Jane Fonda...he was military, but he also disliked those who evaded the draft because of money and/or family connections...he despised Trump...he did in fact vote for Clinton because of Limbaugh ET AL and Oklahoma City even though Clinton did not serve...Dad became a Democrat in his later years...and let that sort of thing go. He said of Clinton. He managed not to go but it wasn't because his Daddy bought his way out...my parents had turned against the war after Kent State or so my older sis tells me...so they understood the reluctance to fight what had become a political war. My Mom was a yellow dog Democrat and never voted for any Republican.
