The GOP Believes It Will Plug Election Holes By 2018 And Win Big Next Year.

The GOP seems to appear confident that there will be no elections that they cannot completely control by next year. The Dem gains were a shock and I am sure they are working very hard to delist Democrats from the roles nationally by next year. We can expect truly extreme measures to protect their power.

They just seem to believe that they can pass death chambers and win. They get more extreme by the day.

Republicans who like Trump and Republicans who don't like Trump.

The Democrats will tie the republican candidate to Trump.
a) The republican candidate embraces Trump and loses republican moderates.
b) The republican candidate runs away from Trump and loses republican extremists.

It is said that Karl Rove's biggest strategic victory of 2000 was uniting all wings of the GOP into one coherent party. Well... Trump has undone that.

We are in a really convoluted reality that I find worrisome. The fact that we are where we are right now is scary.

trump has no intention of uniting the gop. The whole alt right game is to replace moderates with far right extremists, one by one. GOP is in a rapid transiton to white nationalist party. They have a lot of power over elections in republican controlled states. Way too many people don’t vote in midterm elections so it is a major challenge to GOTV.

They have to perform lewd budgetary acts when their sugar daddies demand it, but that is not the same thing as having an election wrapped up.
