Do you think it's possible that Moore has some kind of tie to O'Keefe?

(17,088 posts)First thoughts, because the person who went to WaPo had such an outrageous story, was that she would get it out there. Then it would be proven untrue. Then Moore could discredit all his accusers.
Feasible?

(19,549 posts)Personally, I think there's something to it, but proving so is the issue.

(3,010 posts)I must think like a criminal because I posited this idea aloud to my SO when Moore's accusers first went public. I said the R's will send out a fake accuser, discredit her, then use it to discredit them all.
I didn't anticipate the fake stories about Franken. I was half right about the means, but 100% right that the R's are liars and cheats!

(31,483 posts)as being false, possibly by James O'Keefe, himself. If one accuser could be discredited, it would serve to discredit the other reports that WaPo made about sexual misconduct by Moore. The testimony of the other women would have been dismissed, as well.

(5,507 posts)I have bigger questions about the first gap than the second.
Would they really have the audacity to try and pull that off in one day. No wonder the PV story fell apart if it was constructed that quickly.

It does make one wonder.
Then again, Okeefe isn't nearly the mastermind that he thinks he is so I wouldn't put it past him to rush headlong into something like that with no preparation.
So, it was either coordinated or reckless

(9,011 posts)My guess is that it was both coordinated and reckless.
