https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/28/us/politics/mick-mulvaney-leandra-english-consumer-bureau.htmlWASHINGTON President Trumps deregulation push got a boost after a federal judge denied an emergency request on behalf of an Obama-era holdover who disputed Mr. Trumps decision to appoint a new acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
The ruling addressed a partisan legal spat at an agency thrown into chaos as two acting directors publicly laid claim to the title of rightful, if temporary, leadership.
At a hearing on Tuesday afternoon, Judge Timothy J. Kelly of the Federal District Court in Washington said that Mick Mulvaney, Mr. Trumps pick and the current director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, could lead the bureau while the case was being considered.

Pretty hard to appeal the denial of a TRO.

(54,358 posts)Or at least the appointment and confirmation of those he is told to appoint, are going to be a stealth poison in our country for a long time to come. McTurtle deserves to have one centimeter of every finger, toe, arm and leg chopped off daily until there is nothing left for the damage he has done to our judicial system, and Hatch deserves the same for being McTurtle's willing accomplice.
If my wish punishment sounds medieval, it is in keeping with the era to which McTurtle and Hatch would like to bring our country back to.
