Rubio: Tax cuts 1st Step in Raiding Soc Security & Medicare to Pay off Deficit Caused By Them

"Many argue that you can’t cut taxes because it will drive up the deficit. But we have to do two things. We have to generate economic growth which generates revenue, while reducing spending. That will mean instituting structural changes to Social Security and Medicare for the future,” the senator said.

And they will die. They will die from lack of education, nutrition, jobs, housing, and medical care. But they will still be happy knowing the other side “lost”

As it's self - funding and always has been. The reason that there's a problem is because spineless congresses' figured out that it was politically easier to raid that fund, than to raise taxes for shit they wanted to buy. If I remember correctly, if we paid back the entirety of the Debt tomorrow, a rough third would go to China, and wholly another third would go right back into the SocSoc fund. The GOP doesn't wanna pay it back. Because they're cheapskates.

And we need to start saying that EVERY TIME one of these degenerate motherfuckers says what he just did, because anything else is bullshit cause it just ain't True.

I was just about to post the same...In fact, borrowing from the Social Security surplus has kept the economy afloat since Reagan. Remember Al Gore's lockbox idea that was mocked by republicans?

If we decided, tomorrow, that we were actually goint to
start paying down the debt and everybody had to kick in, the general populace would destroy the Republican party in about 36 hours, because we KNOW who should pay that back and who shouldn't (because we know who it was used to benefit).
In another 36 hours, the top tax corporate tax rate would be 70%
And the Rich fucking know it.

and drown it in the bathtub."

First cut taxes and revenue.

THEN tell us we can't pay for services - like Social Security and Medicare.

Or- we can turnout for the freakin' Democrat next time!

is staggering.

I think we are heading for some very dark times ahead for many people in this country if the GOP gets it way on this.

Rubio & co need that money for their rich friends to invest overseas.
people who will need SS or Medicare in 25+ years aren't the GOP's core constituents. they couldn't care less.
welcome to "prosperity", Republican-style. everybody go get some Ivanka shoes and a MAGA hat for Christmas.

"We're going to f*ck your mother and your sister, your kids and your grandkids (Social Security and Medicare), and just for kicks your goldfish (via lead in the water in Flint), and there's not a damned thing you can do about it, because, y'know, gerrymandering, voter suppression, helpful Russians."

By the time the country folk get angry enough to grab their pitchforks, there won't be anything left to save. The Repugs will have remade the country in their own image, to please their corporate masters.

They are in the process of turning five year administrative judges into lifetime positions appointed by guess who. That will add more than 400 Federalists to the bench for the next 40-50 years. And that's on top of the 100+ federal judgeships the GOP held open during President Obama's term so a Repug could fill them. We will have moved from the Shining City on the Hill to the Pit of Hell.

Donnie Two Scoops isn't the problem -- he is a symptom of the problem. It's like a magic trick. He distracts the audience with his crazy while the actual trick is being performed elsewhere.

SS and Medicare are responsible for more than 70% of the economy if doctors, hospitals, nursing homes and assisted care businesses that serve aged people are counted. Rubio and Trump won this part of Florida, both will have issues if they attack SS and Medicare.

Well guess what: we're going BACK. TO THAT.

And it was PURE. HELL. People retired - and that meant simply and in 80+% of cases, they became paupers. And they DIED if they needed healthcare. They were DESTITUTE.

Republicans think THAT was the "good old days" before all that "socialism".

Too many people are ignorant IDIOTS.
