He seems just sane enough that his GOP supporters can pretend he hasn't jumped the rails; but he slips into a delusional state when he's stressed, and this makes him very dangerous. He's mad in a way that he can sometimes seem like he isn't mad, so he's more like a villain in a Bond movie.

He said that, like a Bond villain, dump has a veneer that he is very good at selling to people, but that that veneer covers up a psychopathy or sociopathy - and his supporters are believing the veneer.

While we spend a lot of time on here talking about the duped believing his con, the underlying mental illness is, of course, what is truly dangerous to us and the rest of the world.

4. I came in late but sounded like he was describing borderline tendencies.

People typically refer to NPD with 45 and I wouldn’t argue with that. But there’s also Borderline Personality Disorder, called that because it’s on the border between neurosis and psychosis. Stressors can push one toward the psychotic end, resulting in delusional, frantic thinking and behavior. It’s possible to have NPD with borderline tendencies. I’m not sure if that’s what he was saying but today I think he could make a case for it.

I watched the interview and stand by my brief synopsis above. He was saying dump is mentally ill but very good at covering it up.

“Mentally ill” doesn’t mean anything. Nothing specific. Sounded as though he was saying he is increasingly delusional and functions in some ways (as with manipulating others) and doesn’t in others. But as I said I caught the end so didn’t hear what idea he was supporting.

Someone else on my teevee suggested that earlier this evening. He's unstable and the more stressed he gets the more delusional he gets, which might explain why he lies about things that can easily be proved.

Dr. Dodes on LOD also said that the Dumpster slips into a psychosis when under stress which accounted for his delusional thinking and that the Dumpster could literally do anything because he is not in control of himself. For someone who lived with a partner who had psychotic episodes, this is scary stuff because it will only get worse without medical intervention. The Dumpster needs to be on some serious medications that would possibly render him dysfunctional for lengthy periods of time. 25th Amendment here we come.
