Baltimore riots: Security beefed up after looting, fires engulf city

Source: CNN

• There were nearly 200 arrests, 144 vehicle fires and 15 structure fires in Baltimore during the unrest that began Monday, said Howard Libit, the city's director of strategic planning and policy.

• More than 500 National Guard members are in Baltimore on Tuesday morning with "hundreds more on the way," the Maryland National Guard reports.

• Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan met Tuesday morning with police and visited a subway station that closed amid the recent violence, according to his official schedule. He is set to meet later with faith and community leaders before talking to the media around noon.

In my dreams thousands of people lay down around the police buildings and refuse to move.

system with the arrest cases. When it finally got to the point that the courts and those who supported the system could no longer function as they wanted to - then the protesters won.

As riots go this was pretty destructive but there is a reason why the police stood back. The riots were destroying their own neighborhood. And as someone said last night - the damage from the 1968 riots is not even repaired yet.

Baltimore is freaking huge.

CNN, as usual, has gone over the edge.

"According to Blumenthal, the transformation began after September 11, when American law enforcement officers began to look to the Israelis for counter-terrorism expertise and in response the Israel Lobby “provid[ed] thousands of top cops with all-expenses paid trips to Israel and stateside training sessions with Israeli military and intelligence officials.”

Many of these trips and training sessions were arranged by JINSA, the stridently pro-Israel organization whose advisors have included such prominent Neocons as Douglas Feith and Richard Perle."

Once trained, police have put the training to use...Occupy is one example...Baltimore is the latest...

american police culture reaps what it sows. Can't blame 'the people' at all. To break the back of an unarmed man, whether guilty of whatever or not is despicable and these type of executions/murders of unarmed POC and disposable class citizens have become all to typical nationwide.

Wall Street will continue to suck the blood out of what is left of this neighborhood.

And the Banksters are navigating around in their yachts celebrating once again.

No one is coming for them......

I hear police will be poring over photos of looters looking for who to arrest.

Try Jamie Dimon.....

http://www.salon.com/2013/12/18/jamie_dimons_perp_walk_why_it_could_be_this_years_christmas_miracle/

Like that is gonna happen.

Only black people get arrested.

This is Amerika!!!!!

Gotta fill them jails with krimminalz.

The police aren't enforcing the law, they are enforcing order.

The rich and powerful plunder the poor, and buy the laws protecting their wealth, and when the poor "act up" they go to jail.

This story is getting really old.

So what if a few backs get broken on a few poor people.

The system must survive!!!!!

Reap away Wall Street!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our patricians don't seem as responsive. But then, the process took hundreds of years.
