Nine months is an eternity in politics, particularly in late-deciding New Hampshire. And so not surprisingly, the Republican presidential primary field remains crowded with no true frontrunner, according to the latest WMUR Granite State Poll.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush leads the pack with 15 percent. His fellow Floridian, Sen. Marco Rubio, with a bump of 7 percentage points since the February WMUR poll, is in second place, at 12 percent.
That places Rubio a single percentage point ahead of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, at 11 percent, and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, at 10 percent.
Despite the close horse race, Bush stands apart in being viewed as the most electable Republican in the field, with 27 percent saying he has the best chance of winning the general election in November. Rubio was a distant second in that category, at 11 percent, with Walker at 10 percent and Paul at 9 percent.
