Obama said he was asking his people to look into oil speculation to see if it was the reason for the high price of gas at the pump.

He did this once before with the same result, but I can't remember when. After a month or so, the prices edged up again. I thought it was a coincidence, but now I'm wondering if it is the reason for the steady decline.

Personally, I would like Obama to come out and nationalize the oil companies, through Executive Orders if necessary. This would guarantee his reelection alone, as then we can set the prices not just making them lower for working folks, but actually set them higher for certain vehicles. SUV's and luxury car owners can afford to pay 8, even 10 dollars a gallon, which can subsidize working people's 2 dollar a gallon gas.

Of course, we should just nationalize all energy as a whole, just like Maxine Waters has proposed in some hearings. This will ensure not just our energy control, but also that the GOP has absolutely NO issue with regard to energy to run on.

In the past couple of weeks, it dropped six cents, then three cents, then three cents more.

Right now, the average is $3.68 here in Georgia. I would be very happy if the price drops below $3.00,
