Golden Gate ferry union to strike Tuesday, shut down morning ferry service
Source: Marin Independent Journal
Morning ferry service in Marin will shut down Tuesday as part of a strike action, union officials announced Monday.
Golden Gate Bridge union workers and organizers have voiced their displeasure over what they say is an effort to have them pay more for medical benefits. The bridge district is wrestling with a five-year $87 million deficit and is looking at ways to cut costs.
Now workers say they will strike Tuesday, leaving passengers who ride ferries from Larkspur and Sausalito with no boats in operation.
"We have been negotiating in good faith for one year now," said Rene Alvarado, ferry terminal assistant and member of the Inlandboatmen's Union, which is calling the strike. "The district says they appreciate workers, but they have shown no appreciation at the bargaining table. We deserve a fair contract and health care for our families and retirees."

Occupy is hoping, together with other organizations, to shut down the Golden Gate Bridge. I did not know the unions were going to strike, thought their contract forbade it or something.
Anyhow, there is an article here Occupy's Big Stakes May Day Relevance
It's not a great article, but does have some info on the Golden Gate Bridge activities. Don't know if that is what you were looking for.
