Woman in Secret Service case calls agents 'fools'

BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — A woman who says she was the prostitute who triggered the U.S. Secret Service scandal in Colombia said Friday that the agents involved "idiots" for letting it happen, and declared that if she were a spy and sensitive information was available, she could have easily obtained it.

The woman said she spent five hours in a Cartagena, Colombia, hotel room with an agent, and while she barely got cab fare out of him, she could have gotten information that would have compromised the security of U.S. President Barack Obama if the agent had any. "Totally," she replied when asked.

"The man slept all night," said the woman, who was identified by her lawyer as Dania Londono Suarez. "If I had wanted to, I could have gone through all his documents, his wallet, his suitcase."

She called the Secret Service agents caught up in the scandal "fools for being from Obama's security and letting all this happen."

I have no problem with prostitutes. At least she is making a living.

a client is violent or scary, they protect the woman. No pimps, no drug abuse, no breaking of laws. So much more civilized than what we have in the states.

to keep the crime elements out. that is why sweden has changed there system and other countries are looking to their model. prosecute the pimps and jons, not the prostitutes.

while the agent without a conscience slept.

Maybe she felt insulted the dipstick was trying to squabble with her about the fee.

The future isn't all that bright in a country like Colombia for women born into that kind of poverty, as people who make the effort to find out already know. There are NOT a lot of opportunities in that country for people without social contacts and parents who can help you, and at least a fair education.

Some people make a horrendous mistake in trying to compare the rest of the world to the way they grew up here, in their own neighborhoods in the U.S.

There IS a difference between a country, exploited, plundered, in a civil ongoing conflict over 60 years, and a country which is home to the multinational corporations, with deep ties to Colombian government officials, which do the raping, the plundering, even the murdering there to make sure Colombia continues to supply a submissive, very poor, HUGE pool of people desperate to work at their disposal.

I believe it is only a matter of time before Gloria Allred gets involved in this. I'm sure that she will join calls for a federal investigation but not before she signs up some of the women involved. She will be at the airport with the cameras rolling and will then hold a series of press conferences before demanding a whopping payment from which she will get her 40% and free publicity. Don't get me wrong. I am as liberal as they come, but there's something about exploiting situations that makes me cringe. It is usually the right that does it, but when it is perceived to come from the left, I feel that it makes us look superficial and lacking in analysis.

Though I have no idea how cynical you were before, or, for that matter, I know nothing about you. But based on your statement it seems you already believe your story has happened. It's almost as if you're inventing something to make it look like the Left are the exploiters even as you write. And is Gloria Allred a Lefty official who exploits crimes against women just to make the Left look bad? You seem to know so much more than she's telling us.

I'm very much on the Left. I have every faith that she will not disappoint me. She will find her way into this matter. It's just a matter of time. Watch.
