U.S. Border Guard Vows To Survive After Jason Todd 'JT' Ready's Death
By AMANDA LEE MYERS 05/05/12 06:14 AM ET

PHOENIX -- The death of a former neo-Nazi whose group patrols Arizona's desert near the Mexican border for illegal immigrants and drug smugglers is raising questions about his organization's future.

Friends of Jason Todd "JT" Ready vowed Friday that U.S. Border Guard's armed patrols will continue, but monitoring groups doubted the operations could be sustained.

Authorities say the 39-year-old Ready shot and killed his girlfriend and three others, including a toddler, before killing himself in a Phoenix suburb Wednesday, a murder-suicide stemming from domestic violence issues.

The Arizona Republic reported on its website Saturday that the FBI was already conducting a domestic terrorism investigation into Ready's activities prior to the shootings.

but their name sounds like a legitimate organization. It was or is an former neo-nazi group. I wish the headline had been something along the lines of; Neo-nazi kills family and self, his border patrol group likely to dissolve.

Any way something should probably be done about letting people in camo run around and harass people because they look like they might be illegal immigrants. Some legal family is going to be on an outing one of these days and get confronted and that is a horrible thing to have to face. Knowing there are places you can't go cause some yahoo will mistake you for an illegal.

"Out of respect for the family and friends of the deceased" is the message.

Sounds like Ready was really the driving force and with him gone the group will probably disappear and the various remaining members absorb into other hate groups.

He played in Phoenix last night and actually kept his damn mouth shut about guns, immigration, Sherriff Joe and politics in general. Maybe he learned a lesson... Nah, I doubt it.

Dunno who. I saw him the last time he was in Phoenix and he wouldn't shut up about immigrants, Gov. Brewer et al. The venue owner was even encouraging it and the crowd ate it up. My friend and I had to leave to the bar just to escape the levels of hate and crazy. This time he shut the fuck up and sang.
