House Judiciary panel sets first Planned Parenthood hearing
Source: ASSOCIATED PRESS
WASHINGTON (AP) The House Judiciary Committee has scheduled Congress first hearing on the Planned Parenthood videos for next week. And the title theyre using leaves little doubt about where Republicans who run Congress stand.
The committee says next Wednesdays session will be the first of several hearings called Planned Parenthood Exposed: Examining the Horrific Abortion Practices at the Nations Largest Abortion Provider.
Abortion foes have released nine furtively recorded videos showing Planned Parenthood officials and others describing how they furnish aborted fetus tissue to researchers.
The committee says it is investigating whether Planned Parenthood has violated a federal prohibition against a procedure abortion foes call partial-birth abortion. Planned Parenthood officials say theyve done nothing illegal. An organization official, Dawn Laguens, says they know little about the hearing beyond its provocative title.

(11,495 posts)Someone should figure out how much these idiots have spent on all their bogus investigations on thing like this, and then use it in a national TV ad. They "claim" they are the ones trying to "save" wasteful spending, yet things like this prove otherwise.

(24,683 posts)and will these anti-choice republicans members of this committee allow any rebuttal, and will they call the individuals that "created" this false narrative to be brought before the committee to swear to tell the truth and the whole truth under the penalty of perjury and to be questioned and possible contempt of Congress.
And, if they lie will this committee chairman hold them not only in contempt and will they hold them under federal perjury charges----------because clearly someone on that filming crew of hypocrites is lying, including the film edit team.
This would include the "dude" running the CMS, that filmed this "stuff" and edited it for his own propaganda----to be questioned by democrats------------or is this committee going to turn it a Darryl Issa witch hunt and disallow questions from democrats like the woman on the committee .
This is going to cost the taxpayers "millions" of dollars.
