Europe's migrant crisis: Chaos as trains are stopped in Hungary

Source: CNN

Chaotic scenes erupted Thursday as trains packed with Syrian refugees were halted at a station outside the Hungarian capital, Budapest, in the latest setback for desperate families seeking to reach Western Europe.

Police gathered at the side of the track as the trains abruptly stopped at Bicske.

A CNN crew on one of the trains said the families there -- who boarded hoping to travel to Austria or ultimately Germany -- were refusing to get off despite suffocating heat and limited food and water.

Some youths and men were holding on to the handles of train cars in case police attempted to board and remove them forcibly. Meanwhile, parents fanned their crying children in an attempt to cool them down.

It feels uncomfortably close to the way the U.S. and other countries refused to admit Jewish refugees from Nazis.

... in Turkey. They were safe in Greece. They were safe in Macedonia and Serbia. They are safe in Hungary. What exactly is it they're fleeing again?

They were safe in Turkey. Turkey is so safe that Thomas Cook offers very inexpensive package holidays there.

Those rioting in Budapest have been through Turkey, Greece, Slovenia, and now Hungary. That's not good enough for them. They demand to come to Germany, or to travel on to Sweden or the UK.

So, once they are in a safe country, what exactly is it they're escaping?

And in case you missed it, Germany is fine with receiving them. They just committed to taking in up to 800,000.

And yes they damn well are refugees.

A manufactured crisis to suit the Wests agenda.
Of the over 350,000 refugees trying to get into rich European countries this year less than 1% have died trying. This is on par with previous years.
Sure there have been high profile deaths, quite graphic and gory. But I do question why smugglers would weld the truck doors closed that is full of refugees as was discovered the other day. I suspect so they could abandon it, for them to die, all for their cause.
Interesting enough, photos usually show well dressed refugees. Hell most are better dressed than me.
No personal stories of why they are fleeing.
All we are hearing is ISIS and Syria. Pretty soon, mark my words the West will call for War. Hell David Cameron is already pointing the finger in accusation.
The greatest irony is the West is the main cause for instability in the Middle East.

I'm not trying to be heartless as im sure there are genuine refugees trying to escape, but after reading stories about how they "Nearly" ran out of food and how traumatized they were by seeing their childs face "Scratched" And how they felt like "Animals" because water bottles were thrown into crowds my B/S meter is running on high.

they are definitely NOT refugees. Heres what i have gleaned so far.
They family escaped from Syria and made it to Turkey when a Canadian relative was paying their rent, YES. That's right their rent.
In the meantime the Canadian relative applied for refugee status in Canada which was declined in June.
The father then allegedly paid Smugglers twice to get them into Greece, when that failed he decided to load them onto a boat which took on water and capsized which resulted in the deaths of his wife and 2 children.
Another "refugee" trying to game the system. The deaths were no one else s fault except his own.

Unfortunately I think the main effect of this is to make Europe more conservative and right wing. Somewhere the Koch brothers, Cheney, Limbaugh, those at faux news are smiling. From what I see in the media, these migrants are coming off very entitled and aggressive, giving this impression that they deserve to be in Europe, that they have a right to move there, and I don't think I am the only one getting that impression and that does not win them much sympathy. Why is it all about Europe and the US, Canada, etc? Can Iran and Russia pitch in and take people too?
