Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton speaks at a “Women for Hillary” organizing meeting Thursday in Columbus, Ohio. She is to attend a similar meeting in Milwaukee Thursday evening.

By Mary Spicuzza of the Journal Sentinel
Sept. 10, 2015 2:58 p.m.

For her first campaign stop in Wisconsin, Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton plans to rally her supporters at a Thursday evening "Women for Hillary" event at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Her campaign said Clinton "will discuss her record of fighting for women and families," including her plans to protect funding for Planned Parenthood and fight Republican efforts to repeal Obamacare.

Clinton is also expected to stress her support for equal pay for women, and say she will fight for all workers to receive paid leave, whether it be to care for a new baby or a sick relative.

The event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on the UW-Milwaukee campus............

She’s also aiming to make a personal connection with women by using a marketing campaign that will offer regular subscriptions for home deliveries of some of Clinton’s favorite household items and branded products, according to Jesse Ferguson, the campaign’s spokesman.

She moves in an over-caculated way and responds only when cornered.

Really. Can you say she's taken the lead on any of these issues??

The evils of super political action committees. (Sanders proudly doesn't have one.)
The "disastrous" Citizens United v. FEC decision.
The disappearing middle class.
The "incredible ... uncontrollable greed" of the billionaire class.
The real unemployment rate.
Black unemployment.
Youth unemployment.
Workers' pay.
A $15 an hour minimum wage.
"Our gay brothers and sisters."
Paid maternity leave.
A trillion-dollar jobs program.
Opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal.
The fight against big banks.
The Koch Brothers.
American oligarchy.
Public funding of campaigns.
Republican voter suppression.
Free college tuition.
Student debt relief.
Climate change.
Single-payer healthcare.
Ending institutional racism.
Opposing the war in Iraq.
Avoiding another war in the Middle East.
Veterans' care

She's jumped in where she had to. Don't call that leadership.

The thrust of Sanders's campaign thus far — like his political career as the mayor of Burlington, Vt., 16 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the past seven in the U.S. Senate — has focused on supporting working-class Americans through elevated taxes on the wealthy and correcting income inequality "which is now reaching obscene levels," he told the AP.

But Sanders has also been a steadfast and reliable supporter of LGBT equality, supporting the Employment Non-Discrimination Act when it passed the Senate in 2013 and even calling on President Obama to evolve already and support marriage equality in 2011. He's a cosponsor of the federal LGBT-inclusive Student Non-Discrimination Act and has consistently voted against bills seeking to amend the Constitution to ban same-sex marriage, while cosponsoring a bill that would repeal the remaining portions of the so-called Defense of Marriage Act. Sanders has a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign's latest Congressional Equality Index.

Sanders used Twitter to highlight that long-standing support Monday, just one day before the Supreme Court heard arguments on marriage equality. That comment included an overt reference to Clinton — albeit to the former president and not the current presidential hopeful:

You can't claim to support equality and not support equal rights. #SCOTUSmarriage pic.twitter.com/iBcZHzfxxk
