Bus union satisfied with new contract, ending strike

TUCSON – Sun Tran employees were pleased with their new contract, with 89 percent voting to approve it, ending the 42-day bus strike.
Brenda Wirges has been a bus driver more than a year.
“It's a good contract,” she said. “It's not exactly what we wanted. But that's OK. It’s going to get us back on the road.”
Teamsters Local 104 Principal Officer Andy Marshall said everybody got a pay raise.
