Post-Debate Poll Shows New GOP Frontrunner Has Emerged
Source: Truth In Media
CALIFORNIA, September 18, 2015 On Wednesday, 11 Republican presidential primary candidates took their hard-earned places behind their respective podiums on stage at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. The first post-debate poll has been released, and Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of HP, is now a front-runner for the Republican nomination.
A strong performance in the first debate on the under-card stage thrust Fiorina onto the main stage for Wednesdays CNN debate. Many questioned whether or not shed continue to impress, or if she would buckle under the pressure.
After the debate, those who underestimated Fiorina were silenced. According to Robert Herring, Sr., CEO of One America News Network, the One America News national post-debate poll conducted by Gravis Marketing, a non-partisan research firm, shows its all Fiorina coming out of the second debate.
Taken immediately after the debate, the Gravis poll shows Fiorina jumping to first place at 22 percent, tied with Donald Trump. OANs previous national poll, conducted on September 3-4, showed the former HP top executive in seventh place with 2.7 percent.

It looks like Fiorina and Rubio were the big winners of the debate. Ben Carson seems to be the big loser.

(755 posts)She is a nasty candidate, full of tough talk. She will be on the vice presidential list, along with Thune, Ayotte, Martinez, Haslam, and even Duncan Hunter, Jr. But the crazies in the GOP are already losing it with Trump.

Your hyperactive concern is duly noted ... Again ... And again ....
question everything
(47,436 posts)yes, including the mini one in Fox.
I think that it is a clear that she is a good debater but this does not mean that she can be a good candidate or, heavens forbids, a good president.
Even the WSJ opined: Ms. Fiorina, who said she wouldnt talk to Mr. Putin at all because weve talked to him way too much. That is unrealistic.

Judged by CNN tall foreheads to be "true, but misleading". Which describes CNN perfectly.
What the double fuck??
I really do think the mass media is mocking all of us knowing there is little we can do to mock them in return.

I truly cannot stand the absurd spectacle of televised "debates". They have almost no connection to the process of contesting ideas that the word "debate" implies.
We are an Idiocracy and televised debates are just another reality show.

(469 posts)Of course she's now the Republican front runner - she told the debate's biggest lie, didn't she? (see the current "Pic of the Moment.) That's gotta count for SOMETHING, doesn't it?

I'll take Fox News polls more seriously than them.

This is the ultimate reality show and the American People love it based on the ratings.

Of course, she does have experience destroying American jobs, which may endear her to the Bros. Koch!
Oh, God! Do we have to look forward to months of her appearing on every newscast?

So, this has exactly 0 value.

(10,500 posts)I just wanted to show the latest info. I didn't think it had exactly zero value. It was an opportunity to discuss the latest trends emerging from the debate, namely Fiorina's ability to acquire a large reward by being the biggest liar on the stage.
I agree that the polls coming in a couple days, from all the primary voters, will be the better ones for the purpose of establishing where everyone currently stands.

and Jeb! with his brother having kept us safe.
And both got the biggest applause. Figures!

(23,065 posts)Her made up story about Planned Parenthood is sickening and totally, 100%, false. She didn't win in CA because they caught her lying so much, and that will also keep her out of the presidency. Of course, this doesn't disqualify her with Repugs who are totally OK with their own lying, as long as the lies fit the narrative they want. It will disqualify her with Independents, however.
Jebs lies about his brother are also OK with the base, since they don't face facts well. It too, will really turn off Independents who know that 9/11 and Katrina and Iraq all happened on his watch. Probably the worst record of any president, ever. That will definitely keep Jebbie out of the WH.

(3,373 posts)Interactive voice response polling has a mixed record of reliability, and Gravis is a subpar pollster.
I expect Fiorina and Rubio to move up and perhaps Carson to dip slightly, but I don't expect such dramatic movement.

I just wanted to highlight the current trends and who seems to have won and lost ground as a result of the debate.
The real message from this poll is that Carly Fiorina has been richly rewarded for lying through her teeth.

(3,373 posts)excludes Gravis polls from its aggregator because of the history of inaccuracy but Huffington Post's pollster includes Gravis polls and 538 considers them but at a reduced weight).
As long as you take the polling for what its worth, it is still useful information.
