the people that go to planned parenthood are mostly poor and/or minority women, so who cares if they die too soon, as they likely weren't voting Republican anyhow. (Yes, I know the reality is that a ton of middle class women use their services, too.)

They caught an all-too-common but hardly spoken of virus (HPV) I’d gotten as a very young woman 30 years ago from a cheating boyfriend. I had YEARS of cryotherapy and quarterly pap smears (it came back 4 times) but if PLANNED PARENTHOOD hadn’t been there for a hand-to-mouth young woman, I surely would not be here today. I literally could not afford to go anywhere else.

FUCK the GOP for this shit. Fuck them a million fucking times.

What would the right replace Planned Parenthood with, you ask? Perhaps they'll start with mandated pregnancy (ie unprotected sex on demand), go on to arranged marriages, bride-burning, the stoning of non-virgins, wearing the ever-popular burka, and, of course, denying a drivers' license to anyone female.

before the House Committee and the Dems defending Planned Parenthood were outstanding. The nation is fortunate to have good liberals who will give back some of the money they have made, but even more fortunate that a number of our elected representatives defend the funding of needed agencies like Planned Parenthood and knock down the outrageous lies of the right wing Repugs.

Just as business has been attacking unions for decades both to get cheaper labor AND destroy political opposition, the right is going after any group that organizes the left politically and has a broad base and name recognition.
