It is my opinion Kornacki kept the GWB lane closing and other controversies spinning up just enough to take Chris Christie out of presidential contention. Great work, Steve!

About the time MSNBC jumped on the Trump/Bernie bandwagon and began the relentless Hillary bashing, Steve Kornacki was never back on "Up" so I pretty much stopped watching MSNBC at all. I had watched every episode every weekend (DVR) since Chris Hayes started it. Great weekly wrap with informative guests and reporters.

I'd like to think Kornacki isn't going along with the new MSNBC formula regarding Hillary - ignorance is bliss.

Meanwhile, I'll stick with "PBS News Hour" - and Chris Cuomo on CNN for AM news, just have to ignore the old Fox weekend host he has with him, Alison Camaretto or whatever.

Alex Wagner, Al Sharpton, Melissa Harris Perry altogether on weekend AM?

What is this plan, MSNBC?

He will host Mondays MTP Daily. Also he has been filling in for a lot of regulars during the week.

Kornacki shared the news with his followers on Twitter:

Some personal news to share. After 2 ½ years of 4:30am wake-up calls on weekends, I’m moving on from “Up”….
— Steve Kornacki (@SteveKornacki) October 5, 2015
Starting today, I'll be the Monday host for MTP Daily (Chuck's day off) and will be reporting political news weekdays and nights.

Also happy to keep sitting in for Hardball. This is a new role I'm really excited for and I want to thank MSNBC for believing in me.

in well over a month. MSNBC lost a loyal viewer.

I might check back after the SEC Primary results (probably March 2).

The Democratic primary should be over then and we can all get back to bashing Republicans like we are supposed to.

And he said, "This is Up without Steve Kornacki" more than once. I figured Kornacki must be moving and meanwhile I was seeing him a lot during the week.

Oh yes, it is so much better to be bashing Republicans than trashing fellow Dems!!!
