I know 99% of this stuff is crazy-town, but it really did seem like Kevin McCarthy high-tailed it out of the race for Speaker suspiciously fast.

3. At first I thought that his wife and daughter were there to

see him get the speakers chair. He couldn't be such an ass as to keep this from them also until the last minute - could he? Not too many pols take their family along to a resignation. And in that resignation he was not talking about the affair so he did not need them at that point.

5. She is probably submissive to him and was told she would attend so she looked like she agreed with

his decision. After all, she keeps the home fires burning for when he decides to come home and play husband. I hope she files soon and takes him for anything he has left. I would question this is the first time he's played these games and won't be the last. He is not the brightest fork on the table, that's for sure. She is probably easily led.
