Claremont Police Make An Arrest In Destruction Of Planned Parenthood Office Case

“Overnight, officers with the Claremont Police Department arrested an individual who had broken in and caused significant damage at the Planned Parenthood of Northern New England Claremont health center. The damage involved the destruction of computer and lab equipment, plumbing fixtures, phones lines, and exam rooms. Flooding caused further damage in the health care facility as well as damage to an adjacent business. The cost of the damage to the health center is not yet known.
We are doing everything we can to assess and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
We are deeply appreciative to the Claremont Police Department for their quick action and the steps they took over the past two weeks to increase surveillance at our health center. Thanks to their commitment to the health and safety of our staff and patients, they caught last night’s intruder in the act and made an arrest.
This illegal activity is the second incident in New Hampshire since the recent escalation of attacks against Planned Parenthood. Earlier this month, vandalism and graffiti including hate speech directed at health care providers was discovered outside the Claremont health center.
