Payment for canceled wedding funds banquet for Open Door Mission

The table was set with white linen, and, sure, the cups were paper, but the plates were china.
The meal featured grilled chicken breast with a dessert choice of carrot cake or chocolate mousse cake.
It wasnt the wedding and reception that a family had planned for Omahas DC Centre, but there still was plenty of laughter and smiles.
Sixty-five homeless men and women from the Open Door Mission enjoyed a banquet Thursday at the DC Centre banquet facility, 11830 Stonegate Drive. The meal was provided through the generosity of a family that had paid for a wedding there but ended up canceling.
