No Winners in $524 Million Powerball Jackpot

Source: ABC News

No one had the winning numbers for the estimated $524 million Powerball jackpot -- 47, 2, 63, 62, 11 and the Powerball of 17 -- which means Saturday's jackpot will be an estimated $675 million, the largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history. The previous largest was a Mega Millions jackpot of $656 million in 2012.

The prize surged from $450 million to $524 million Wednesday night, making it the fourth largest Powerball jackpot of all time.

The payout would have had an estimated cash value of more than $300 million, before taxes, according to the Powerball website. The final take-home amount depends on an individual's tax rate and the state and local taxes in their state of residence, Tracey Cohen, the interim executive director of the D.C. Lottery, told ABC News.

$14 on a $10 investment.

I think I'll "re-invest" my winnings and take a chance on the next drawing too.

... which of course is exactly why they changed to rules to make it harder to win.

I'm pretty sure anyone who wins this will be in the highest bracket.

Unless of course I win. My plan is to form a Cayman Islands shell corporation and claim the winning there and then loan the money back to myself.

I'm not giving all my hard earned money to you dirty tax and spend liberals.

(Just in case )
