Muslim Woman Gets Kicked Out Of Donald Trump Rally For Being Muslim

Source: Think Progress

A Muslim woman was kicked out of a Donald Trump rally on Friday night for no apparent reason. The woman, Rose Hamid, told CNN that she “came to the rally to let Trump supporters see what a Muslim looks like.” She stood silently with a t-shirt that read “I Come In Peace.”

About halfway through the rally, held in Rock Hill, South Carolina, some people in the crowd “turned pretty ugly” toward the woman, shouting “epithets.” She was then escorted out by security.

Trump commented on Hamid as she was being ejected. “There is hatred against us that is unbelievable. It’s their hatred, it’s not our hatred,” Trump said.

Trump has stoked antipathy against Muslims by calling for a total ban on Muslim immigration into the U.S. Since making the announcement Trump’s standing in the polls has only improved.

I work in a company with a management team that is considered quite conservative, ECONOMICALLY conservative ... But they are also rather cosmopolitan in their worldview, and have driven hard in the last decade to develop international relationships as they push for a more diverse workplace ... They succeed to a large degree ...

This is a major corporation ... they would NEVER tolerate such behavior from one of their own corporate officers ... NO FUCKING WAY ! ...

When Trump finally turns away from the field and slinks home to grieve his horrendous election loss ... The goodwill his business has acquired over the years will have evaporated. ... What a fucking idiot ...

Yet, this could raise Trump in the polls...

http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/08/politics/donald-trump-muslim-woman-protesting-ejected/

Despite her silence, Trump supporters around her began chanting Trump's name -- as instructed by Trump campaign staff before the event in case of protests -- and pointed at Hamid and Marty Rosenbluth, the man alongside her who stood up as well.

As they were escorted out, Trump supporters roared -- booing the pair and shouting at them to "get out." One person shouted, "You have a bomb, you have a bomb," according to Hamid.

"The ugliness really came out fast and that's really scary," Hamid told CNN in a phone interview after she was ejected.

Major Steven Thompson of the Rock Hill Police Department told CNN Hamid was kicked out of the event because the campaign told him beforehand that "anybody who made any kind of disturbance" should be escorted out.
