Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe made a stop in Sioux City, as part of his campaign for Hillary Clinton in Iowa.

McAuliffe believes Clinton will fight for working class families and tax cuts for the middle class. he also stressed the importance for Iowans to participate in the upcoming caucuses.

"Iowa is going to have a huge say in who the next president of the United States of America is," Governor McAuliffe said. "As I say, I've known Hillary for a very very long time, she will fight for us, and I want to make sure that we're energized and focused. To make sure on February first every bodies out fighting for her."

Tomorrow, the governor will visit Waterloo, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -

There's 23 days to go till the Iowa caucus and supporters are making sure their voices are heard. Virginia Governor, Terry McAuliffe is touring around Iowa and Saturday he stopped in Sioux City.

The governor visited a Hillary for Iowa organizing office, where he spoke with Iowans about what's at stake in this election. He spoke about why he believes Clinton is the fighter Iowa families need in the White House.

As the 72nd governor of Virginia, McAuliffe has focused on building the state's economy, expanding health care and reducing gun violence. He says Clinton will fight for the working class, affordable college and bring health care costs down.

"I've known her for 30 years. I've seen her fight on children's issues, I've seen her fight on health care issues. She has never shied away from a tough battle to go out there and help working families, go out there and talk about the things we care about," said Virginia Governor, Terry McAuliffe
