Obama hails Iran nuclear agreement progress, prisoner release

President Barack Obama on Sunday hailed the powers of diplomacy in dealing with Iran as the nuclear deal struck with the government in Tehran takes effect and "unjustly detained" Americans return home after a prisoner swap made public a day earlier.
"Engaging directly with the Iranian government on a sustained basis, for the first time in decades, has created a unique opportunity, a window, to resolve important issues," Obama said from the White House during a rare Sunday public statement.

I just watched the statement. It was very good, he demolished every criticism lobbed at him by the warmongerers who can't think of any other way to handle Iran. And made me realize how lucky the world was to have this man instead of John McCain or Mitt Romney.

I think he did a good job and loved his quip about the media and GOP warmongering after the sailors on the 2 patrol boats had been detained by Iran... His mic drop was the reminder of their release within 24 hours of Kerry's intervention..
