One of the protesters taking part in the armed occupation at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge is a 68-year-old former woodworker and, according to court records and authorities, a convicted killer.

Neil Sigurd Wampler drove to Oregon from his home on the California coast earlier this month to join those protesting the arson convictions of father and son ranchers outside Burns.

In August 1977, Wampler, who was 29, was convicted of second-degree murder in the killing of his father, Forey Edward Wampler, in Lake County, California, according to the district attorney's office there and police reports.

During an interview with The Oregonian/OregonLive, Wampler denied he is the same man.

If you were convicted of killing your father, you would be punished by being beaten with rods, then tied up in a large leather sack with a viper, a dog, a rooster, and a snake, thrown into the river, to be taken out to sea. They took parricide seriously in those days.

7. All they need is a photo of him with a gun. They already arrested one ex-felon for having a gun

When they stopped him for a light out on his car. Maybe they can also get this fool the same way when he runs into town for supplies.

I am guessing that after losing two Fish & Wildlife service vehicles at the local grocery store (along with one of their compatriots) they will only go to town in private vehicles now.....

216. One of protesters murdered his father, pleaded insanity, and is prohibited from possessing firearms

..... A commander at the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office also confirmed that the man at the refuge is a convicted murderer he knows as Neil Wampler in California .....

California and federal law generally prohibit felons from possessing firearms. Wampler told The Oregonian that he can legally possess a gun. Cipolla, the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office spokesman, said Wampler cannot have a gun because of his murder conviction. ....

...He pleaded ... not guilty by reason of insanity ...... "I myself am willing to be shot and killed for constitutional rights and principles." ......

No doubt any one of them can use that defense if prosecuted for any reason.

Amazing poster!

Thanks for updating your outstanding thread. I will never forget the delicacy and expressiveness of younger Bundy's lovely hands as he removed taxpayers-financed barbed wire protecting taxpayers' public land.

One of them got arrested for "felon with a firearm". If he's a convicted killer and is carrying, they need to pick him up and toss him in jail.

It is WAY past time for the FBI to do something about these yahoos before they destroy the entire refuge. They have already made a road over an archaeological site, cut down more fences and who knows what else they are going to do next.

Every single one of them belong in jail. Whoever tries to bring them supplies needs to be arrested, too, that's the quickest way to get these idiots to surrender. Cut off the source of supply.
