Motion filed to block State from delaying release of Clinton emails
Source: The Hill
On Monday, lawyers for Vice News reporter Jason Leopold filed a motion seeking to block the department from extending the amount of time that it has to release emails from the former secretary of State's personal server.
The Obama administration has failed to show good cause for the requested extension, that it is necessary or that the interests of justice will be served by granting it, Leopolds lawyers wrote in the 13-page filing.
The governments excuse for not being able to release the final batch of emails this month is woefully vague, the lawyers said.
The State Department on Friday requested that the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia delay by one month the deadline for it to release the last batch of Clintons work-related emails. The department claimed that an internal oversight caused it to overlook 7,200 pages of emails, and that the massive snowstorm hitting the East Coast would make it hard for employees to finish the review in time.

(2,405 posts)Have you taken a look as to how your fellow supporters of Bernie treat anyone who disagrees with them? Even Bernie says he is tired of hearing about her emails. Why don't Bernie Sanders' supporters follow suit?

(40,656 posts)anti-semitism? You can't. Your reply is meaningless. Tell me something worse than making anti-semitic remarks about the child of holocaust victims? Nothing is that bad and you just saying so means nothing. Have a great day.

I'm disappointed it was 3-4 to hide
But there's all kinds of caustic garbage being posted (about both Clinton and Sanders) out there that somehow survives

(761 posts)he's no trumpet of Republican talking points. Asking for a delay in releasing the emails gives the appearance of trying to hide something. Unlike the GOP House kangaroo committees, this investigation is being conducted by the FBI. My sense is that they are looking to see if anything was placed on Hillary's personal server that shouldn't have been there and/or if there is any indication that State Department favors were exchanged for donations to the Clinton foundation. These are both serious and I hope not true. I think it is in the best interest of the party that this gets resolved as quickly as possible.

(2,672 posts)I'd want to know about them. And if it was Sanders with the email problems, Clinton's followers would be jumping all over it and would be denigrating Bernie to no end.
But, since it's Hillary's problem, Hillary's followers don't want to hear about it, otherwise we're using republican talking points.
Of that I'm sure.

(2,405 posts)It was her idea to make the hearing public and that's what I call transparency.

(2,672 posts)this, on the other hand, are about emails that haven't been released yet.
Whether there's something there or there isn't, doesn't the public have the right to know?

(30,724 posts)the data breach by Bernie's campaign. His workers lied. They did not report a problem with the firewall when they said they did. And the bernistas tried to deflect, saying Hillary's team had done the same thing when they had not.
This seems to have fallen off the radar here, doesn't it?
This is Bernie's problem, and Bernie fans don't want to hear about it.

(2,672 posts)If that's what you believe, I'm not going to change your mind.
But the fact of the matter remains that HRC is beholden to big monied elites, aka Wall St. and Big Banks plus a few others such as Big Cable Cos, Big Pharma, etc. It's as plain as the sky is blue. But don't let facts get in the way of your narrative.
Why is it so hard to see that? Honestly. Why?

(55,981 posts)I do find it odd that the REpublicons don't appreciate H. Clinton after all she agrees with them on most issues. In 2002 when the Republicons asked her to help sell the Iraq War, she could wait to betray her own party and help the Republicons.
