Cass Tech on lockdown after midtown Detroit shooting

One person was taken by ambulance from the scene of a shooting near noon Tuesday in midtown Detroit, police said.

The shooting was at Second Avenue and Peterboro Street about three blocks north of Cass Tech High School, according to Detroit Police Department.

On Monday, authorities confirmed that a weekend threat on social media had named Cass Tech among several schools across the city
