Bernie Sanders Releases Medical Records

Source: Politico

Bernie Sanders is “in overall very good health,” his physician wrote in a letter released Thursday.

“You are in overall very good health and active in your professional work, and recreational lifestyle without limitation,” Sanders’ attending physician Dr. Brian P. Monahan wrote in a letter dated Jan. 20.

Sanders campaign chief strategist Tad Devine confirmed to POLITICO that the 74-year-old Vermont senator would release his health records Thursday, just days ahead of the Iowa caucuses.

the only question at this point would be whether it's a clotting disorder of if it was caused by travel. If it was a one-time thing she likely was on a blood thinner for 3-6 months and then cleared. Some folks have clotting disorders (often inherited) which means they have to take thinners for life. This kind of condition can vary widely depending upon what causes it and what the symptoms are.

I'd rather have her release the records now then deal with a release in the general.

Editing: I see below in the thread that she has already released them. She is taking a blood thinner long-term to prevent clots. It doesn't specify why - could be preventative if it was an unprovoked clot. It seems like she is handling the rigors of the campaign ok so I wouldn't worry about this. Plenty of other reasons why she is not my first choice candidate.

It can be difficult to read the full article to gather all relevant information if our bias renders us illiterate. From the article...

'...former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, released her health records in July. Clinton’s physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, noted that Clinton experiences hypothyroidism, seasonal allergies and takes blood thinners to protect against clots. But, she added, Clinton “is in excellent physical condition and fit to serve as President of the United States.”'

...and not just for him. Biden would have been 74 at election time had he run. Mrs Clinton will be 69...and for that matter, Trump will be 70. Look at a picture of a President--any of them--at the time they're inaugurated, and at the end of their presidencies. Remember Reagan's second term. The job is a man--or woman--killer. What would four years of it do to a 75-year old...?

even during the first term some think. He also took naps every day, often couldn't remember his 'lines' so he was managed by staff. His father is thought to have had the condition.

That's a side effect of thyroid issues & delicate med balancing.

That's definately a Red Flag when negotiating touchy deals with foreign leaders.
Or when one has his finger on the nuke button.
Its an impulse/anger reaction due to thyroid/med balancing.

I witness it daily.
I wouldn't vote for bernie for this alone.
I see what it does.

Very reminiscent of Hillary's "It's 3 am.." smear ad against Obama.

So Hillary's finger on the nuke button is OK even though she has the same Thyroid condition?
