Paul LePage Urges Maine Residents To Shoot Drug Dealers

Source: Huff Post

Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) wants state residents to starting shooting drug dealers on sight in order to help alleviate Maine's heroin crisis.

"Everybody in Maine, we have constitutional carry," LePage said Wednesday.
"Load up and get rid of the drug dealers."

How far over the line is this?

Does he want to set the limit on drug dealers, or are elected officials fair game too.

This guy either needs to be immediately frog-marched out of office, or sent to a Mental Health Center for evaluation.

This is some crazy-scary shit!!!!

but this is off the wall - drive by shooting of POSSIBLE drug dealers? If that happens will the gov. be cited in court as giving his blessing to the killer of possible drug dealers.

8. LePage: those drug dealers, with names like Smoothie, impregnate young white girls

before they leave.... (that probably bothers him more than the heroin)

Maine governor blames media for racially charged language dust-up, CNN, 1/7/16
http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/07/politics/paul-lepage-maine-heroin/

LePage referenced new legislation aimed at traffickers, then delivered his roiling explanation.

"These aren't the people who take drugs," LePage said, in comments first picked up by the Portland Press Herald. "These are guys with the name D-Money, Smoothie, Shifty. These type of guys. They come from Connecticut and New York, they come up here, they sell their heroin, then they go back home. Incidentally, half the time they impregnate a young, white girl before they leave, which is a real sad thing because then we have another issue we've got to deal with down the road."

LePage denied using names like "Smoothie" for their racial connotation.

... who just guaranteed his impeachment. Incitement to commit murder most definitely surpasses the threshold for High Crimes and Misdemeanors. Not even the scumbag Republicans in the legislature that support him can let this one go by.

The decent people of Maine deserve better than this piece of shit.

We all know that "drug dealers" is nothing but a dog whistle that really means "black men." This thug is actually calling for lynchings! Outrageous!

If incitement to murder isn't grounds for impeachment, what is?

I spent a decade of my adult life in Maine and still have strong ties there. All of my friends are mortified every time he opens his bile spitting mouth. I still feel it too. I cringe every time I see a headline about him. I keep reading them anyway hoping one day they say he has been removed from office and forced into exile.
